چکیده

This paper presents a mathematical continuum model to investigate the static stability buckling of cross-ply single-walled (SW) carbon nanotube reinforced composite (CNTRC) curved sandwich nanobeams in thermal environment, based on novel quasi-3D higher-order shear deformation theory. The study considers possible nano-scale size effects agreement with nonlocal strain gradient theory, including parameter (material scale) and length scale (size scale), account for size-dependent properties. Several types reinforcement material distributions are assumed, namely uniform distribution (UD) as well X- O- functionally graded (FG) distributions. properties also assumed be temperature-dependent Touloukian principle. problem is solved closed form by applying Galerkin method, where numerical performed systematically validate proposed model, check several factors response CNTRC nanobeams, distributions, boundary conditions, parameters, together some geometry properties, such opening angle slenderness ratio. verified an effective theoretical tool treat ranging from macroscale nanoscale, whose examples could great interest design many nanostructural components different engineering applications.

Buckling and Post-buckling Analysis of FG-CNTRC Beams: An Exact Closed Form Solution

The present work derives the exact analytical solutions for buckling and post-buckling analysis of nano-composite beams reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and principle of virtual work. The reinforcements are considered to be aligned in the polymeric matrix either unifor...

Analysis of Nonlinear Vibrations of Slightly Curved Tripled-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Resting on Elastic Foundations in a Magneto-Thermal Environment

In this work, nonlocal elasticity theory is applied to analyze nonlinear free vibrations of slightly curved multi-walled carbon nanotubes resting on nonlinear Winkler and Pasternak foundations in a thermal and magnetic environment. With the aid of Galerkin decomposition method, the systems of nonlinear partial differential equations are transformed into systems of nonlinear ordinary differentia...

Temperature-Dependent Buckling Analysis of Functionally Graded Sandwich Cylinders

This study is limited to study of buckling analysis of a sandwich cylindrical shell with functionally graded face sheets and homogenous core. High-order sandwich plate theory is improved by considering the in-plane stresses of the core that usually are ignored in the analysis of sandwich structures. Assume that all properties of the face sheets and the core are temperature dependent. Strain com...

Nonlinear vibration analysis of axially moving strings in thermal environment

In this study, nonlinear vibration of axially moving strings in thermal environment is investigated. The vibration haracteristics of the system such as natural frequencies, time domain response and stability states are studied at different temperatures. The velocity of the axial movement is assumed to be constant with minor harmonic variations. It is presumed that the system and the environment...
